We were saddened to hear the news from Rachel Miles and Anthony Shepard that Marty Bottiglier had lost his battle and passed away on August 20, 2021. Marty Bottiglier belonged to Cross Creek Beagle Club outside of Fayetteville, NC. Marty would come to the trial and help, whether it be Cross Creek, Coastal Plains or Mayfield until the hurricane came and destroyed the grounds and club. Marty had lost his son in December 2019 and it has been a very difficult journey that a parent can't always come back from.
Marty Bottiglier and Frankie Gilbert judged Black Jack for many years until it just wasn't feasible anymore. We recently lost Helen Gore, before that Don Phillips, Brendel Bottiglier, Cliff Parrish, Richard Steffen, Francis and C.A. Williams and others. Beagling has lost many fellow beaglers through the years. Marty is now with his son and may peace and serenity fill their hearts until we all meet again.
There are many cherished memories through the years that help them to live on in our hearts. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends.
I think Marty would tell his family and friends
I Am Always There - You're Never Alone
When you're feeling down and blue,
And life is being cruel to you,
Just remember you're not on your own.
I'm always there; you're never alone.
You might not be able to see my face,
As hard as you look around the place,
But close your eyes and think of me,
And before you know it, there will be me.
Keep me in the midst of your mind,
And life will seem easier, I think you'll find,
So when life gets too dark to bear,
Just close your eyes and I will be there.
We have no further information at this time.
