Mervin Jetter Jr. Glassboro, N.J. Mervin Jetter Jr. age 77 of Glassboro passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2020 after a long illness. Mervin was born in Allentown, NJ; raised in Trenton, NJ and lived in Glassboro for 59 years. He worked for Mervin Jetter and Sons for 27 years. He and his brother owned Garden Fresh Distribution Services, where he worked for 22 years. He retired at the age of 72. He was a proud member of the Delsea Beagle Club for 58 years and enjoyed training and entering his beagles in licensed field trials. Many of his beagles earned the status of Field Champion. Mervin was also an avid hunter and traveled to many locations to hunt various game. He took great pride in his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them participate in their favorite activities. He was known for his quiet, observant nature, quick wit and direct, straightforward manner. He was a loving and much-loved husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Jane Jetter of Glassboro; his son Brian Jetter of Glassboro, his son Steven (Anita) Jetter of East Windsor, and his daughter Susan (Paul) Dillard of Glassboro and grandchildren Haley Jetter and Connor, Gavin, and Miranda Dillard. Mervin is also survived by his sister Marlene Chamberlin, brother Christian (Nancy) Jetter and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by nephew Keith Chamberlin. Private memorial services will be held.
