As I was catching up with things, discovered Fred Bobo Passed away on May 11, 2020 at the age of 89.  We are so sorry for the loss of past beagler, Fred Bobo.  Fred went into the Hall of Fame in 1998, Bobo's Tammy went into the Producing Dam HOF in 1995, he enjoyed campaigning Mr Friendly to his Championship.  Fred judged many trials, beat brush, marshaled and worked very hard for his home club, Detroit.  He supported many clubs and federations through the years.  There are many memories through the brace years with friends, Paul and Mary Jane Erlenback, Dick and Doris Donehue, Stan and Sue Peterson, Bill and Peg Bushmire, Ron and Doby Gray, etc, as there are countless others.  He will forever be in our hearts and live on through the many cherished memories. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of your family and friends. Thank You for your years of dedication, devotion and love you shared with everyone who crossed your path in brace beagling and your friends in the gun dog area. Give those we've lost a hug for us all.  Rest in Peace and Soar with the eagles!

Of Horton, Michigan passed away on Monday May 11, 2020 at the age of 89. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Sharon Bobo; children, Fred (Vicki) Bobo, Ron (Judy) Bobo, Sandy (Don) Abood and Barb Scott; step-children, Pamela Steffen, Max (Robyn) Steffen and Bruce (Maria) Steffen, grandchildren, Shannon Bobo, Heather (Dave) Maynard, Michelle Johnson, Angela (Tim) Aldrich, Rebekah (Eric) Lampart,, Megan Richards (Jeremy Vanloo), Beth (Jason) Marker, Sean (Susan) Richards, Maxwell (Jessica) Steffen, Richard (Alana) Steffen, Becky (Matt) Hill, Chad (Karie) Winter, Andy (Melissa) Winter, Brion (Ashley) Gidley, Brandon Steffen, Searra Steffen, Esmeralda (Juan Carlos) Martinez, Jesus (Cecilia) Perez, Liliana (Alan) Bautizta; great grandchildren, Gage Maynard, Jessica, Tori, Brandon, & Jarad Lyle, Owen and Dexter Videto, Elijah, Lucy, Ava, Norah, & Samuel Lampart, Madison McClure, Haven & Tatum Marker, Graham & Eleanor Richards, Maxwell, Andrew & Jocelynn Steffen, Ayden Becker, Elijah, Sydahlei, Rowen & Sawyer Steffen, Ellery & Wyatt Hill, Colette & Grace Winter, Logan, Abbey, Delilha, and Alayna Winter, Nate and Victoria Gidley; great-great grandchildren, Rogue Homa, Ryker & Radyn Koepp, Nevaeh & Charlotte Holzhauer, Vivian Perez, Riley Rangel, Quinatzin & Neymar Martinez, Jotzeling, Jesus Miguel, & Andrea Perez Baez,Nicolas (Alexie) Perez, Karla Flor (Vincent) Rangel, Brian Baez, Maily Cinto, Vincent & Eliana Bautizta; sister, June Givens. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Roy Steffen and grandson, Kenny Bobo. Fred was one of ten children born to Maude and Fred Sylvester Bobo on April 18, 1931 In Jasper, Alabama. He retired as a Tool & Dye Maker and Loved to Farm. He was a honest, kind, gentle, very hardworking, soft spoken man. Loving father and grandfather. Fred has won multiple national championships with his Beagle Dogs as well as he was a Beagler in the Hall of Fame, a national Hall of Fame Breeder, and a National Hall of Famer for producing Damns (females). He has been beagling since 1953 and was the President of the Detroit Beagle Club for about 25 years. Mr. Bobo will be laid to rest at East Rives Cemetery where a committal service will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. The family will receive friends for visitation at Patience-Montgomery funeral home on Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. You will be escorted into the funeral home in limited numbers in accordance with CDC guidelines. All will be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing.
