Received this email from AKC Today:
Dear AKC Club Officer,
This communication is to inform your club that the AKC will continue to roll forward event application fees for COVID-related cancellations. The AKC Board approved this practice last April for 2020 events and has decided to continue this practice for 2021 events. The previously paid application fee is rolled forward for a future event of the same type. When a club informs the AKC that an approved event must be cancelled, the club should at that time state the future event to which they would like the application fee applied. If this is not known at the time of cancellation, the fee will automatically be applied to the corresponding event in the next year. Once a fee has been applied to a future event, the Online Events Management system will indicate that no additional application fee is required at the time the club applies for the future event. This practice will apply to all sports.
Clubs should email the appropriate sport operating department with event cancellations and information about the future events to which they would like the application fee applied. This information must come from an officer of the club or the event chair. AKC will not act upon requests received from others.
