Beagling Loses Surefoot Samuel
Sept. 24, 2019

Junior Williams contacted us that Surefoot Samuel passed away.  Beagling was hit with another loss.

I had to put Surefoot Samuel down in July due to medical reasons. He was 10 1/2 years old and it was a sad day for me. I remember so many things about him. He finished on 9/14/10 at 20 months old by winning his 5th trial at Rockingham. He made five second series as a derby 1st at the Southern, 3rd at the Heartland, 4th at Midwestern, 4th at Eastern (back high hound) and back in high brace at IBF. He was from a litter of four field champions and each won a derby class at the Federations. He won the Carolina State Championship class of 32 males in 2013, 2nd in class of 25 males in 2014, 3rd in 2017 and in 2018. He was a good running dog from his derby year until his last days. He was a good producing sire and was inducted into the National Brace Beagling Breeders Hall of Fame in 2017. He has produced 34 field champions to date with more to come. He would have been a great producer but he was kenneled with his sire Dan Arts Mr. James who has produced 74 Field Champions. Mr. James still likes his supper each day.

I'm praying that some day I can have another dog like Samuel.
