Southern Michigan held their Hall of Fame Memorial Trial and National Qualifying Trial on June 1, 2019.
The morning started with cool sunny day, temperatures in the low seventies. They broke for lunch and a storm came in and we had to delay going out to the field. The rabbits were plentiful! We had 24 starters, and the judges did a great job picking the winners. Thanks to our Judges Mike Asbury Sr. and Tom Rombold for leaving the hounds down long enough for them to sort themselves out!
We want to thank for all the support from the members, friends of the club and all the beaglers that came out and ran their dogs. The food was great! We had enough food to feed for two days. There was 11 varieties of wild game and over 20 different dishes, salads, and deserts prepared by some great cooks!
Congratulations to Max Scott who won the money trial with Hi-point Cola II! Greg Marsh took a Second and Third with Wood Lake sweetheart, and Bee Lick Brave Lady. Chuck Poszk got a fourth with Country Club Rachel. Grass Lake Bonnie got a NBQ.
