Ronald F. Platt, 82, 119 W. Central Ave., Avis, Pa. died February 24, at the Susque-View Home, Lock Haven, Pa.
Born May 18, 1936, he was the son of the late Fred E. and Dolly Barnard Platt. On July 31, 1962 he married Janet Stabley, who survives at home.
Ron retired after 40 years of service as a Foreman in the Powerhouse at the Hammermill Paper Co. He was an active member of the Bald Eagle Beagle Club.
He is survived by three sons, Craig A. (Debra) Platt of Mill Hall, Pa., Robin (Carol) Platt of Chicago, Il., and Keith (Jackie) Platt of McElattan, Pa.; one step-daughter, Beatrice (Gary) Litz of Avis, Pa.; one step-son, Russell Fravel of Lock Haven, Pa.; six grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Nichole Fravel.
A memorial service honoring the life of Ronald F. Platt will be held Thursday, Feb. 28, at 11:00 a.m. in the Dean K. Wetzler, Jr. Funeral Home, 320 Main St., Mill Hall, Pa. with Pastor Richard Conklin officiating.
Interment will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven, Pa. Friends will be received in the funeral home one hour prior to services.
