Donna C. Stoyka
1926 - 2018
Donna C. Stoyka (nee Stark), age 91, and a resident of Lorain, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.
Donna was born July 14, 1926 in North Fairfield. She graduated from Wellington High School.
Donna was retired as a cook from the Brownhelm School, where she was employed during the 1980s. She was a longtime resident of Henrietta Township and while living there, she was a member of Kipton Community Church. Throughout her life, Donna was a homemaker who enjoyed baking and sewing.
Survivors include her children, daughter, Sharon Staveski of Amherst, son, Ronald of Lorain, son, Michael of Florida, daughter, Brenda (Mark) Lacker of Mississippi; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Benjamin and Bessie Stark; her husband, Julius J. Stoyka (2002); sisters, Evelyn Latteman, Eileen Riddell, June Mahoney, Eleanor Robinson, Violet Alltop, Benny Taylor, Betty Buck; and brothers, Royal Stark and Albert Buck.
Family will receive friends 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at the Garland-Misencik Funeral Home, 851 Park Avenue, Amherst, where the funeral service will be 11 a.m., Thursday with pastors Lee Stull and Charles Livermore of Kipton Community Church, co-officiating. Burial will follow in Crown Hill Cemetery, Amherst.
