It is with a heavy heart that we received the news from Ruth Scaletta and Jan Robertson that Ron Scaletta lost his battle with cancer on July 16, 2018 when God ended his pain and suffering.
Ron started his beagling career in Maryland with his partner, Clay Hinsman from Hagerstown and Patapsco Ridge and on they went with Claron Beagles in Maryland, PA, NC, GA, SC, Southern, Mid Dixie, the Eastern, IBF, etc. Claron Samantha was one of their favorite champions. Ron and Ruth left Maryland and presently reside in Lincolnton, Georgia. Ron loved his beagles and went to many field trial and judged many trials. Ron and Ruth became members of the Savannah River Valley Beagle Club in Edgefield, South Carolina. They had the pleasure of finishing males and females and were dedicated to the sport of brace beagling. Their last Field Champion was Claron Ruthie. Ron wanted Ruthie to finish before he passed onto the next life and his dream became a reality last summer. Claron Ruthie finished at Southern Michigan and it was the first time they campaigned a dog with a handler and Lynette and Bob Coil were honored by their trust and so grateful that dream came true on their "bucket" list. Ron and Ruth were partners with C.H. "Buddy" Clark on Claron Ruthie, who now resides with Buddy in South Carolina.
Ron was a loving husband and his lovely wife, best friend, and true love, Ruth cared for him in his home until his passing. Ron has fought a long and courageous battle with his cancer. Their children not only came to visit Ron and Ruth but helped out at their license trial when they came from Maryland.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Ruth, their children, grandchildren, family and friends. We know.........
He will always be your Guardian Angel and will be watching over you. He will forever be in your hearts and live on through the many precious memories through the years. His pain and suffering has ended, he is free and we know your family chain has been broken, but he wants you to live on, as he loved every one of you and is so very proud of you. May God Grant You all that you need to get through this difficult time. The love, patience, understanding, strength and courage that you have is always a true blessing and will continue; as you remember him and things he shared and said. So just for now........
Rest In Peace My Friend! Till We Meet Again.....
