Congratulations Owners, Shawn and Steve Redmon and Lynette Coil on New Field Champion R and R Makenzie!
Dixieland closed with 20 13" Females and 26 15" Females under Judges, Bob Connell and Preston Greenwalt. We completed first series had lunch and then went back out to the field for 2nd Series. Bob and Preston called back 6 Females as follows:
1st Brace-Sunrise Brenda and R and R Maureen
2nd Brace-Top Spot Dazzle-W and Top Spot Spotsie-W(D-1)
3rd Brace-Black Blanket Aly and R and R Makenzie
The high brace ran, 2nd brace had a run and then lost and the 3rd brace had a good run so the 2nd Brace was dropped and 3rd Series was R and R Maureen and Black Blanket Aly and that was field trial!
R and R Makenzie had 4 Wins and needed around 5 points for her Field Champion Title, which she did when she placed 4th in a class of 26. R and R Makenzie has been a joy to work with and handle. To watch her grow from being a derby, to the hound she became and is a futurity, has been an enjoyable journey. I thank Steve and Shawn Redmon for letting me be a co-owner on Makenzie. She touched my heart from the very start.
R and R Makenzie is sired by Bee Lick Braveheart and her dam is R and R Mia. Shawn and Steve Redmon are the Breeders. They have really grown and made a lasting impression with their bitch line and helping our sport. We thank them for their dedicated support and trusting us with their hounds. We had finished R and R Memory at Western Carolina before Christmas and R and R Makenzie is the grand finale and their 2nd for the year 2017.
Congratulations One and All and May You Have Continued Success and Good Health! Happy New Year!
