Congratulations Owner, Rachel Miles and Handler, Anthony Shepard on New Field Champion Cotton Belt Mr T A!
Black Jack had 12 15" Males under Judges, Lana and Mickey Johnson. The 13" Males were run to completion and then the 15" Males. Anthony Shepard did a great job with breakfast every day and after a great lunch by Susan Boyce and Rachel Miles, the judges brought back 6 Males for 2nd Series as follows:
1st Brace-Cotton Belt Mr T A and Up The Creek Trapper John
2nd Brace-B & C Little Ben and Old Tavern Show Stopper(D-2)
3rd Brace-Sunshine Lonesome Sam(D-3) and Tanglewood Rusty II(D-1)
Everything ran so 3rd Series was Up The Creek Trapper John and B & C Little Ben and that was field trial!
Rachel Miles and Anthony Shepard were very proud and happy. Ironically, this is the 3rd Field Champion they have finished at their home grounds at Black Jack. First was Bud-D-Line Margo, then Carolina Silverado and now Cotton Belt Mr T A and they all finished with a win. They have had a lot of fun campaigning their beagles in the South. Mr T A was named after Rachel's Dad, Thomas Alvin McCaskill (T A). They work very hard to keep Black Jack going in her Dad's memory and her sister, Susan Boyce always helps get the club ready and does lunch. Her son, John has judged Black Jack and always beats brush and marshals. The family is very proud as they should be and have brought Black Jack a long ways through the years. Anthony works very hard on the grounds and keeping game available. They are the true meaning of "Southern Hospitality".
Cotton Belt Mr T A had his wins and needed a handful of points, but he went out in style with a 4th Win and looked like a field champion all day. Cotton Belt Mr T A is sired by Ocean State Hi Tide and his dam is Bud-D-Line Margo and Rachel Miles is also the breeder. Mr T A is the first one Rachel has finished under the Cotton Belt Kennel Name, which was her Dad's. So as you can see, Mr T A is very special to Rachel in many different ways and very near and dear to her heart between her Dad and being out of their very own Bud-D-Line Margo. Rachel wanted the picture taken on the bridge going to the running grounds, as that was where her Dad and his last field champion had their picture done.
Congratulations One and All and May You Have Continued Success and Good Health!
