Are The License Derby Trials Helping Entries at the Federationss

Thus far, we have completed two federations with the Derbies being License Trials this year.

The Midwestern had things working against them before it started.  We thank Bluegrass for stepping up to the plate and hosting the 2018 Midwestern.  We really appreciated their dedication and support.  The weather didn't cooperate for the License Derby Trials, but despite that the Derbies were down 2 entries from 2017.

The Mid Dixie ran their derby license trials the last two days and the 15" Derbies closed with a total of 80 Derbies, which is an increase of 17 Derbies from 2017.  This was the largest License Trial for Catawba County in the last 3-4 years.  So far, it looks like making the Derbies a License Trial has helped.

We still have Four Federations left, Heartland, Eastern, International and Northeastern.  So as the saying goes, in time more will be revealed.  We hope everyone will support their local federations to make them a success.  We have to have Derbies to have Futurities and we have to breed to have the Derbies.

Good Luck to All!
