Appreciation Awards for Richard (Dick) A. Geiling
by John Floyd
On August 5th and 6th, 2017 at Miami Valley Beagle Club's Brace Beagling License Trial, the Miami Fellowship of Brace Beagling recognized Richard A. (Dick) Geiling for his long and outstanding service contribution to the sport of Brace Beagling.
Marty May, President of Clark County Beagle Club presented Dick with a plaque which reads as follows:
For 26 years (1991-2017) as President of the Miami Association of Beagle Clubs, Secretary of Eastern Indiana Beagle Club for 21 years (1976 - 2017) and as President of Eastern Indiana Beagle Club (1997 - 2017). Dick continues to judge many Brace Beagling License Trials. Dick's wife, Suzie, shares judging assignments with him on many trials. How lucky can you be? Dick has judged all over Michigan in the north, to Georgia in the south, and from Missouri in the west to Pennsylvania in the east.
We congratulate Dick for 41 years of service to the sport of brace beagling.
We all know it takes entries, rabbits, and good, honest judges to have a successful field trial. However, the importance to our sport is the unselfishness of men and women like Dick and Earl to go unrecognized. Let's not forget to recognize the contribution of people like them the next time you are at a trial. LET'S KEEP BRACE BEAGLING ALIVE !! THANK YOU !!
