Summertime! It was warm in Union County but the weather cooperated and there was a nice breeze making it very tolerable considering the lack of rain during the past month and the hot weather this summer. The rabbits cooperated and the grounds were in good shape. We had a total of 102 entries.
We would like to thank the judges: Paul Krepicz judged all classes; Shelley Metzger judged the 13" bitches; Blair Faust the 15" bitches and Dale Pliscott the 13" and 15" males. Shelley and Dale stepped up on short notice to fill in for a judge who was unable to attend.
Our thanks to Karen Eurick for her assistance in transporting the dogs to the field and to Rusty Ritter for marshaling all three days in addition to fulfilling the field trial secretary's duties.
Thanks to the handlers: Karen and Fred Eurick and Bob Hartman. And, thanks to the people from the western part of Pennsylvania and the New England area for coming to Union. It was a good trial where we greeted old friends and made new ones.
Thanks to the kitchen crew for serving meals all three days and Bruce Propst and Mallory Pershinsky to making breakfast and serving lunch on Monday.
Congratulations to Johnny Johnston and the late Carlton Spicer on finishing Broad Creek No Show Frenchy in the 15" class.
It was a good three days and we appreciate all who participated. See you next year! Travel safely and have a great year!!
