We had a very successful trial this year. In fact, the best I can remember for several years. We had so much fun despite the very hot weather. We ran a total of 97 dogs. We finished 2 champions. Lookin Good Black Coffee and Halley's Anna. Congrats to their owners!! Also for the first time at New Eagle we had Gary Jones, Dennis Shirk and Bob Kimber. If I missed anyone that was with us for the first time, please forgive me. A big thanks to Bobby Kimber for bringing his laptop and assisting us with the drawing. He printed out sheets for us each day so no one had to write a book. We would also like to thank Sandy Carhart for helping us in the kitchen. Our free steak fry on Saturday was fantastic. Chef Marty Parker grilled the gigantic porterhouse steaks. They were grilled to perfection and to each person's specifications. We also celebrated my birthday with a surprise birthday cake and ice cream. For those of you wondering, I am 44. Our President, Alfie Williams had the grounds and strips in top notch condition. We also want to thank Joel Davis who provided his cart each day for the beagler's use and made sure we had cold water in the field. Thanks also to Carol Davis for her help in the kitchen and for her great food that she prepared. Millie Williams took care of the kitchen again this year. This was her 68th year. What a record! Beverly Fleming, my mom, also did double duty by cooking and being Secretary. She also did a great job. Thanks also to Mike Tabory, Mike Serraino, and Pat Conley for helping in the field each day in the hot sun. It could not have been done without you. A club needs all of the members to help. Around and in the clubhouse was immaculate. If you missed our trial this year, please add it to your adgenda for next year. You will have alot of fun. I personally will guarantee it!!
