it is with a heavy heart that the death of Frank Simpers, past President of Savannah River Beagle Club and past handler went to rest on January 14, 2012. Please keep his family in your thoughts and prayers. His obituary is as follows as printed in the Augusta Chronicle:

MARTINEZ, Ga. - Mr. Frank Seth Simpers, 82, of 2146 Oak Ridge Road, Martinez, GA, entered into rest on January 14th, 2012 at Trinity Hospital with his beloved wife, Mrs. Patricia Lindsay Simpers, at his side. Frank was born in Parkside, PA to the late Edgar and Florence Taylor Simpers. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War. After his discharge from the army, he began working at SRS Dupont where he retired as a Senior Supervisor after 30 years of service. He was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church in Jackson, SC and the Jesse C. Lynch Memorial American Legion Post #71 in North Augusta, SC. He was the current Vice President of the Hidden Lakes Town Home Assoc., former President of the Savannah River Beagle Club for over twenty five years and past Vice President of Mid-Dixie Beagle Federation. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Glenn Simpers, Charleston, SC, Jeffrey Simpers, North Augusta, SC; three step-daughters, Sandra Lindsay Woodward, Martinez, GA, Donna Lindsay, Atlanta, GA and Tina Daniel, Cincinnati, OH; two grand-children, Stephanie Simpers, North Augusta, SC and Michelle Simpers, Charleston, SC; five step grandchildren; three Great-Grandchildren, all his friends in the Hidden Lakes Town Home neighborhood and his beloved maltese, Cody. To honor Franks wishes, there will be no formal services. Friends may call at the family residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the CSRA Human Society, 425 Wood St., Augusta, GA 30904. The Hatcher Funeral Home, US Hwy. #1, Langley, SC is assisting the Simpers family.
