Dennis Haut Introduces a Friend to Traditional Brace Beagling

When Sturgeon Creek beagler Dennis Haut showed up at Red Cedar last Saturday for the thirteen inch bitch class he had a friend with him named James Bessey. Dennis said he has known James for years. In fact James's mother was a student of Dennis at the school he taught at many years ago.

James Bessey will be a junior this fall at Sterling Standish High School. His family owns a restaurant in Sterling, Michigan named Brandy and Jims. James works there as a cook and waiter.

When I asked James what he thought of our sport he replied, "It is awesome and I would like to attend a field trial again sometime. I might be interested in becoming a beagler."
