Some of the clubs that are responding with a YES are also enclosing a check for $60.00. It is premature to send any money. Please read the rest of this news short. I really appreciate their display of enthusiasm and support for the proposed change, but please hold off on sending any checks.

First, at least 60 clubs need to respond with a YES or there will not be enough clubs to consider this option. If and when we get 60 YES clubs, then I will send out a simple 1 page Member Club Application to those clubs responding with a YES on the survey. THEN each YES club can return the completed application with a membership list and a check for $60.00.

If 60 or more clubs vote YES, then the delegates will have a solid viable option to vote on. If we don't get that many then this option should probably be laid to rest. If the proposed option should survive and be adopted at the 2011 May IBF meeting, the $60.00 Dues and Derby Fee would be applied for the IBF year beginning June 1, 2011 and ending May 31, 2012.

The Survey has been out there for about 30 days. So far 66 clubs (37%) out of 180 clubs have responded. In another month, or so, I will post a "news short" update and let everyone know at that point where things stand on the survey. In the meantime, please encourage your club to send in a survey response as soon as they are able to do so. Thank you.
