AKC Regular & Advanced Brace Beagle Field Trial Judge Seminars at Southern Michigan
Dates: March 6 & 7, 2010
Southern Michigan has contracted with AKC to put on a weekend of Judge’s seminars. One day will be spent introducing judging candidates to the rules and guidelines necessary to become accredited to judge AKC Licensed Trials. The second day will be spent discussing with experienced judges and other participants AKC’s views on the ongoing future of the sport.
The first day (Regular Seminar) is tailored to aspiring judges and the background they need to become familiar with the AKC rulebook. A test will be conducted at the end of the session to examine their understanding of the materials. Successful completion of this test will result in accreditation by AKC as a Licensed Trial judge.
The second day (Advanced Seminar) is an open discussion about the future of the sport and how AKC, current judges, and other interested participants can help promote our sport. Attending this seminar renews the accreditation of currently licensed trial judges for an additional 6 years.
The seminars will be conducted by Mickey Sergio, AKC Field Representative and a former Beagle Advisory Committee member who has been associated with our sport for many years.
