Elmer Ray Pugh, 81, of Springfield, TN died Thursday August 27, 2009 at his home. Ray was a well known judge and long-time beagler. He was the Secretary/Treasurer of the Middle Tennessee Beagle Club for many many years. He is survived by son: Donald Ray (Vicki) Pugh of Hermitage, TN, daughter: Shelia (Carl) Matthews of Greenbrier, TN, 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was born May 12, 1928 in Robertson County, TN to the late James and Hazel Wilson Pugh. He was a retired printer and of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pugh was preceded in death by his wife: Mary Emmitt McEwing. Funeral Services will be Sunday, August 30 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday, August 29 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12 noon until service time.
