Pearson Creek Response
By Ralph Gillum, BraceBeagling Columnist

I am assuming this e-mail will be going to Ralph Gillum since he authored the article I found on Breeder's Forum. This is in response to the George Nixon breeding question of which my replay is really unrelated to the question, but just a little bit of info for anyone interested in the Pearson Creek bloodline.

My father, J.O. Justus, brought home this mangey dog, (soon to be known as Pearson Creek Justus), from a field trial he attended in Springfield, Missouri. A fellow beagler, George Nixon, gave my father this dog, because he looked awful, and I assume Mr. Nixon didn't offer much hope for the poor thing. Well, my father, told us as a family, I am going to finish this dog. He is a triple blooded field champion on both sides of
his blood line. Was he ever right!! My dad got that dog well, and he did indeed finish him as a Field Champion when Pearson Creek Justus was only 15 months old.

What a great story, and by the way, I am now in the market for a little beagle pup. I want it as a pet and to hunt with, but wouldn't it be remarkable if I get get a pup from the Pearson Creek Justus bloodline??? Any ideas on how I might get lucky with this quest? Please email me.
